IowaGMRS is actively searching for ANY fixed locations. Some good examples are cell towers, TV Antenna Towers, Grain legs, buildings, land, and other tall structures to connect an antenna system.
Some of the following requirements maybe needed for a well maintained system:
Allow for IowaGMRS to operate equipment at frequencies around 462MHz (GMRS Simplex), 467MHz (GMRS Repeater), 162.40-162.55MHz (NOAA), 915MHz (LoRa), 2412–2472MHz (2.4GHz WiFi/Bluetooth), 5180–5620MHz (5GHz WiFi). These frequencies may be used to receive or transmit data to the proper linked system.
A connection to continuous power outlet.
A connection to continuous Internet connection.
Allow IowaGMRS Repeater Owner, Admins, and support volunteers to access the equipment with 24 Hour notice (except easements). If an emergency is possible, forecasted, imminent, ongoing, or recently after an emergency. Some other times may include to stop a system from causing further damage to it's self or other equipment.
A brief vetting of coverage in your area, interference survey, or frequency coordination. (Complete by us)
***Additionally, If a long term or permanent structure or tower is to be placed by us on small portion of your land, a long term access and service easement would be coordinated.
We are excited for your kind support of linking your repeater. Please fill out the form attached prior to contacting us.
